What is intellectual disability?

Intellectual disability is not a disease. Intellectual disability is primarily a limitation of a person's intellectual abilities, and not an impairment of his other characteristic skills, such as the ability to be happy or feel good. People with intellectual disabilities need constant, lifelong help and support.
